I finally did it, I took the time to properly measure the ingredients and wrote it out for you. We love cinnamon rolls, one of my earliest memories is my mom baking cinnamon rolls, she learned to make them as a kid in Sweden. She would add raisins and sometimes walnuts in the filling. …

Sweet Potato Casserole
We recently started to love sweet potato casseroles and pies, I find that many recipes out there are just too sweet, it’s probably why I never use to care for sweet potato casseroles, until I came up with my own recipe.
Sweet potatoes are already sweet so I use half a cup of brown sugar for the filling. There have been times where the potatoes are not as sweet so I had to add more sugar; taste and adjust as you make the filling. …
Baked Acorn Squash
We love our acorn squash! My mom always baked them with butter and brown sugar, I added the walnuts and cranberries, and my kids added the whipped cream;) Every generation has their own way of enjoying it:)…
Banana & Blueberry Pie
I had a Fan Fav Party on my FB fan page, and this was the fan fav from jazzygourmetblog. As soon as my son saw this, he asked if I could make it, and so today I finally did it!
It turned out delicious, the whole family loved it! It is a dessert that takes time to make, so start off early so that it will be ready for dessert;) …
Mint Fudge
I was busy in the kitchen all day yesterday, roasting tomatoes, baked a sweet potato casserole, made beef and cabbage stew for dinner…with all this happening I decided to make mint fudge! I had some left over evaporated milk left from the casserole, and didn’t want it to go to waste!
How many times have I left the extra in the fridge just to forget about it, then it goes down the drain! Not this time…no no no…I used it up and made something delicious with it:)…
Lemon Meringue Pie
Lemon Meringue Pie is my husbands favourite pie, it was the first pie I ever made, and for some reason whenever I make it I feel like I accomplished something great haha!

Walnut Date Balls
We had guests over for dinner last night, and with all the preparations the only thing I had left to do was dessert! I made some chocolate ice cream the night before, was planning on some cake or something….but no time. I decided to make macaroons but didn’t have any oatmeal, and no time to go out and get any either. I took a glance over to the table and noticed the bowl of dates sitting there, then I remembered these stuffed dates I love so much….
Blueberry Peach Cheese Swirls
Mmmm…these turned out even better than my strawberry cheese swirls! Well, I think so. My mom is obsessed with the strawberry ones! Its blueberry and peach season here, and I am a seasonal person. I made a delicious peach-freezer-jam last week, that I can honestly eat right out of the jar. The combination of sweet and tangy is wonderful!

Diamond Cut Baklava
Baklava is a delicious rich dessert that is very popular around the Mediterranean, every family and culture has their own traditional way of making it, my Grandmother from generations to generation in her family cut theirs in a star shape for the diamonds. For the syrup, I like mine simple without extra flavours or add ins, no cinnamon or rose water stuff like that just ruins it for me.
My Grandfather was the master of baklava, everyone came to our house for Bajram not just to visit, but to get some baklava! Wish he could be here to taste mine, as I never got the chance to make it for him…every time I make it I think of him. My Grandmother says mine tastes just like hers, which makes me feel so good<3…
