We’re already at week 6! Hope you are benefiting from my meal plans. We have a combination of traditional food and comfort food for this week. I also included my pumpkin pie for dessert; I have been craving pumpkin pie and since it’s Thankgiving here in Canada on Monday I figured it’s the perfect dessert to share!
Monday, assuming you are not making Turkey! Semi-Fried Chicken
Tuesday – Lentil Soup
Wednesday – Flank Steak
Thursday – Cheese Burek
Friday – Lentil Kabobs
Saturday – Orzo with Veggies and Chicken
Sunday – Salisbury Steak

For Wednesday I picked flank steak, you can make it with asparagus and potatoes on the side. One good size flank steak is enough to feed a whole family.

For Thursday night we have cheese burek, so simple to make and it is one of my kids’ favourites! I used to make this more often when the kids were younger, it was just so easy to make!

Friday we have vegetarian kebabs made with lentils. These go really nice wrapped in romaine lettuce.

Saturday night we have veggies with orzo and chicken breast with broccoli on the side. My kids really enjoy this, even though it is made with broccoli!

Sunday supper we have salisbury steak. Mama used to make this for grandpa and grandma when I was a kid. It’s just one of those comforting dishes that I thought would be nice to end the week off with.

This is our family’s ultimate favourite pie! Pumpkin pie. Thought I’d share it since it is Thanksgiving this weekend here in Canada. I just roasted 3 pumpkin pie pumpkins today; can’t wait to bake with the puree!
