Just seven days after my sons grad party we hosted another party this time for my youngest daughter. She graduated the same week, back to back, it was one hectic week I tell ya.
The parties were the fun part! She wanted a strawberry themed party, I of course had no objections to that, anyone who knows me knows that I super love anything to do with strawberries!
One problem, she wanted strawberry pop, we don’t have strawberry pop in Canada, we did when I was a kid, but I haven’t seen that stuff in ages!
I asked my friends where I can find it, sure enough my neighbour was visiting family in Michigan and while she was shopping she saw it, strawberry pop! She got us two bottles which is exactly what we needed and surprised us with it. My mom used to treat us with strawberry pop when we were kids, such a nice memory, I still remember the song from the commercial.
We usually don’t drink pop, so you can imagine how happy my kids were when I was making these floats for them!
My mom will treat them once in a while, you know that is what grandma’s are for!;)
For the floats, all you need is strawberry flavoured pop, and vanilla ice cream. I saved my frappuccino bottles, and used them for these floats, you can use mason jars or any tall glass, they can over flow, so pour slowly.

For these mini pies I used 4 cups sliced strawberries and made 24 mini tarts. Bake the frozen tart shells, and allow to cool, prepare the filling and there you have it, mini strawberry pies. For recipe follow this link: strawberry-pie
I added strawberry jam to the icing, and topped the mini vanilla cupcakes with fresh local strawberries, mmm yummy!
Lovely!! So colorful and festive! You are a wonderful hostess and Mom!
