My mom makes the best fried fish! No matter how many times I make it, it just doesn’t turn out the same…they’re just some things mothers make best! This is one of them, the other is her dutch apple pie…mmm mmm mmm.
This is a simple recipe, I like to serve salad or coleslaw as a side along with homemade fries.
What you will need:
- 4 large fillets of tilapia or as needed
- flour
- salt to season
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- pepper if desired
- sunflower oil for frying
Thaw frozen tilapia, cut fillets in half, season with salt. Season flour with salt, pepper and paprika, dip fish in the flour. Heat oil (just enough to cook not ‘deep’ fry) till its hot and ready to fry.
Fry the fish, brown on both sides till fish is cooked, transfer to a paper towel lined tray or plate to absorb oil.
Serve fresh and hot. Enjoy!
Oh yummy, I love tilapia & so do everybody at our house. Yummy your mom's dutch apple pie sounds so tempting, mothers do have their magical touch that makes things extra special & tasty. That goes for both of us as well, LOL.
