BBQ chicken is a favourite summer time food!
I marinate the chicken for 2 hours (in fridge) with paprika, seasoning salt, garlic salt, olive oil,vinegar and 3-4 garlic cloves.
Cook on grill , I cook mine on low to medium heat.
Cook till chicken juices run clear and meat is no longer pink. Check with meat thermometer, minimum 165 °F for chicken, or cut into the chicken, check each one as they are different sizes, one may be fully cooked and the other not.
Moving and flipping it around the grill for even cooking. What I do sometimes is wrap the chicken up in foil wrap, I usually do that if i’m cooking variety of chicken pieces.
If your using legs and thighs the fat will cause flareups so remove the skin.
Some people boil there chicken first, then BBQ to make sure the chicken is cooked. For me I do not like it at all, it has no flavour, it tastes like boiled chicken even with bbq sauce on top!
For chicken breast with bone, I cook half way in oven, then cook the rest of the way in the BBQ just to be safe.
