I found this recipe in Women’s world magazine….I didn’t use food colouring or green crystal sugar or lime zest like in their recipe.
What you need:
- 4 cups cut up watermelon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp lime juice
*If you want to add the lime zest you need 1 1/2 tsp, and if you want to add food colour they say to add 12 drops of red.
In small pot cook the water and sugar is dissolved 2 mins. Remove from heat;cool.
In blender puree the watermelon with sugar water, stir in lime juice.
Pour into 9 inch pan, cover and freeze.
To serve, scrape with fork and stir in 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips and spoon into serving glasses.
I dipped my glass in lime gelatin, with fingers wet with water and dip in crystals. You can use green sugar as well.
