Kisir is a Turkish bulgar salad, that is tasty and filling! Great as a side dish or a on its own for a healthy snack or lunch!
What you will need:
- 1 cup Bulgur
- 1 tomato
- 2 green onions
- 1 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 green pepper
- 1/2 cucumber or 2 pickles
- juice of 1 lemon or 1 tbsp Pomegranate Molasses
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- Salt and Pepper
Prepare bulgur, rinse and drain, pour over 3 cups cup boiling water over the bulgur, cover and let sit for 10-20 mins or until its doubled.
Chop all veggies in small pieces.
Sautee chopped onion in olive oil and add tomato paste, and mix in with the bulgar.
Add paprika. Cool down transfer to serving bowl. Toss in chopped veggies, squezze in lemon juice add salt to season, add pomegranate molasses or lemon juice, I usually add a little of both. Adjust seasoning. Keep refrigerated
