Delicious homemade hummus, way better than store bought! When making any kind of dip or sauce you have to taste and adjust as you go, sometimes one lemon is enough sometimes not, same with salt, tahini, garlic etc, so taste along the way and it’s done when you are happy with the taste and texture.
I don’t always boil my chickpeas, when I am lazy I just drain, rinse and throw them in the food processor, just takes a bit longer for it to become a smoother texture. For a very smooth texture you need to blend the chickpeas in your food processor for a while, the longer the better.
What you will need:
- 2 -15 oz can chickpeas drained
- 3-4 cloves garlic minced
- juice of 1-1/2 lemon
- salt to season
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2-4 tbsp water
Spread on serving dish, and drizzle with olive oil and garnish with paprika if desired.
how in the world does one make a tomato rose?? thats so cool!
