Delicious homemade hummus! Enjoy as a dip or with pita bread! We love our hummus! When I make hummus like other dips or sauces you have to taste and adjust as you go, sometimes one lemon is enough sometimes not, same with salt, tahini, garlic etc. Taste along the way and stop when your satisfied!
I don’t always boil my chickpeas, when I am lazy I just drain, rinse and throw them in the food processor, just takes a bit longer for it to become a smoother texture.
What you will need:
- 2 -15 oz can chickpeas drained
- 3-4 cloves garlic minced
- juice of 1-1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2-4 tbsp water
Spread on serving dish, and drizzle with olive oil and garnish with paprika if desired.
