- 5-6 size medium yukon gold potato’s skin clean or peeled
Clean potato’s scrub skin or peel off, cut into thin slices. Potato’s turn brown if not cooked right away so keep them in a bowl with cold water, and before you fry, dry them down with paper towel, make sure you dry them well, if water touches hot oil it splatters!!
In frying pan heat 4 tbsp of canola oil for around 10 chips, cook on both sides or you can use a deep fryer, or pot if your brave enough. I dont like frying with oil, so I do it a little at a time. Place cooked chips on paper towel to soak up any extra oil.
Then when chips are cooked season with salt, paprika, seasoning salt, and crushed red peppers or black pepper.
