I was not raised on curry…or spicy foods for that matter….but in recent years I have grown a love for curry and spicy foods!
I started to buy this curry/spicy flavour noodle package….after reading the ingredients and thinking to myself wow I can’t even pronounce some of these things! I thought there has to be a way I can figure out how to make this myself.
I experimented in the kitchen and came up with a delicious curry chicken noodle recipe….warning….its addicting!
What you will need:
- vermicelli noodles or 450 g bag of capellino spezzato noodles
- 1 grated carrot
- 1 tomato chopped
- 2 tsp curry powder
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 clove of garlic grated
- turmeric a pinch for the noodles and 1/2 tsp for the chicken
- 2 green onions chopped
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breast cut up into bite size pieces
- 2 tsp of salted butter
- 3 tbsp of oil
In deep pan add 3 tbsp oil and 1 tsp butter, heat till hot and butter is melted.
Add the garlic, ginger, carrot and green onion, cook till a bit tender, takes about 2 mins. Add chopped tomato cook till tomato softens add 1-2 tsp curry powder and 1/2 tsp turmeric, season with a little salt, add the chicken pieces, add another tsp of butter cover and let cook till chicken is fully cooked on medium heat.
Meanwhile boil and cook your noodles in salted water, I add a pinch of turmeric to the water it makes the noodles yellow. Drain the noodles leave a bit a liquid and add to the chicken mixture, cook a bit more then stir and serve.
Looks yummy, you are good at least you tried. I have to give you credit for that & you came up with this yummy looking & of course tasty curry noodles. I'll give it a try soon. Great job.
