Cheese with Soguk Pide is a popular Turkish pizza! Its so soft and yummy, makes for a great picnic snack, lunch, or brunch idea.
What you will need:
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tsp sugar
- 4 cups and a half flour
- 1/2 olive oil
- 2 tsp yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
Mix milk, yeast and sugar. Add flour start mixing in water and oil. Knead to form dough, drizzle with oil while kneading to prevent from sticking, cover and let rise. (takes about 40 mins to 1 hour)

- 2 eggs whisked is enough for about 4 pides, just pour over the cheese with a spoon, if you like you can add suguk (sausage).
Separate dough in parts, add to greased baking pan that is lined with parchment (so that it doesn’t stick to pan), flatten balls into oval shapes and add a slice or slices of cheese, and add 2-3 pieces of soguk, fold dough over edges and pinch ends. Spread the egg yolk on top of dough with pastry brush. Bake at 400 till golden. You may broil for a minute for a nice golden colour if desired.
