Well we were snowed in today! The blueberry buckle from yesterday was gone in a flash! The kids wanted some more, I did not have much blueberries, but I did have a bag of mixed fruit in the freezer so I made it with mixed fruits. So now while were here stuck in the house, at least we have something delicious to snack on:)…

Blueberry Buckle
Was searching for a blueberry buckle recipe on the net, I didn’t really find much differences in the recipes, I choose this recipe from allrecipes.com to follow and it was so good, I am not a big blueberry fan and I loved it!…
Dill & Feta Cake
I came across this recipe years ago while visiting a friend of mine Hatice. She shared her mom’s recipe with me, the only problem was that the recipe was in Turkish measurements. It took about four times until I got it right, and converted it to American measurements. My daughter Dina always makes this, as it’s her favourite! She made this one that is in the photographs, so proud of her!
It’s really simple and easy to make, using simple ingredients….
Spinach Pies
Spinach pies are a great snack or lunch idea…my kids love them, especially when I add cheese to them! You can find them at all the Lebanese bakeries in town, but I still like to make them myself at times. The dough is soft and the spinach is tasty, it may not compare to the bakery but I dare say it comes pretty close! …
Banana Bread
My mom baked two things when I was a kid, cinnamon rolls and boxed cake mixes with canned frosting. It was my Aunt Rosie and Aunt Angela that were the bakers in the family. My Aunt Rosie was the only one that made banana bread and she always added chocolate chips to it. I remember loving it so much that I had to add them to my recipe, to be honest I don’t think I can have banana bread without them haha!
To make it extra special, I sometimes sprinkle mini chocolate chips on the top of batter.
